Welcome
Kensington and Chelsea Webcasting
From here you will be able to access the Council’s first webcast, a meeting about the July 2007 flooding. In future further webcasts of Council meetings will be available. In addition you will be to view or complete surveys or polls and access documents or presentations associated to the webcasts. The flooding meeting is displayed on the right hand side of this page. To view the meeting simply click on the title. If you would rather use a text based version of the player then please use the 'text' link at the top of the player window for the meeting you are viewing.
What is a Webcast?
A webcast is basically a transmission of audio and video over the internet. Video cameras at our council meetings capture the live information and send it to a central server, which in turn sends it to anyone that would like to view the meeting. Through the use of your internet connection (either broadband or via a dial-up modem) and Microsoft's free player you can view the meetings live from the comfort of your own home.
Should you miss a meeting, or would like to view a section of the meeting again, then you can view the archive of the webcast. The archives allow you to view the meeting at you leisure and, through the use of the index points, allow you to jump to a specific agenda point or speaker.
